Looks like Britney Spears is finally listening to the judges demands. A day after handing over custody of her infant sons to father Kevin Federline, she was issued an interim licence from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Score one for Brit!
That being said, there’s a chance that the embattled mother-of-zero will get her kids back at her 1:30 PM PT hearing today.
“She is feeling very optimistic about the future,” Spears’ pal Sam Lufti tells Us Weekly. Sam says Britney missed her court-ordered drug test because of “scheduling conflict.” He goes on to say, “She is hoping the judge will reverse the order.”

I really wish you would stop using the word “embattled”. EVERYONE in the media uses that, find a goddamn thesaurus for Christ’s sake…
I hope they don’t give the kids back just because she applied for her license, let her meet with the parenting coach and family counselor first.

the only reason why she wants the kids back is because she thinks that the photogs will take her picture even more when she brings one of the FAS saddled children with her.
I definitely agree with barks that she needs to get going on those court mandated counseling/parenting sessions first. And I sincerely hope she does it. Also, lol @ scheduling conflicts! She’s SO busy…
She needs psychological help before getting those kids back. She needs to get sober, go through long term rehab, THEN parenting classes. She needs to get herself help first. I’m convinced she’s bi-polar, and that is a horrible thing, because she isn’t in her right mind and can’t help some of the things she’s doing, really, because she is sick. With help and meds, she can get better and eventually get her kids back. But I’ve seen the horror of bi-polar disorder first-hand (and I do mean HORROR) and kids should NOT be around the person until they are leveled-out with meds and therapy.

All due respect, starr–I have read your personal history on this one ( and I have had my own battles), but let’s call this what it really is–drug addiction. I can hardly believe she could sit still long enough to pass the written portion of the test. As I think of it, I can’t believe she PASSED the test. And she would have to have passed the driving portion, too, right? Wow.
*TellMeMore* I have had very close family members who were bi-polar and both of them developed a drug addiction. They turned to drugs because of their state of mind and the fact that they were trying to escape the feelings they were constantly going through.
And I would love to hear what effing scheduled event was more important than taking a drug test required in a custody suit.
^^Good Lord, ES. Just read what I said. Yeah, MAYBE she is bi-polar, but SHE CLEARLY IS A DRUG ADDICT. I am not making any kind of value judgements on this woman re: her mental health as I (and no one else except her physician) truly knows if she is bi-polar. Let’s have a little bit of peace on this blog site today. It is full of vitriol and nastiness.

I really have no idea what Britney’s problem is. She could have a mental disorder or she could be taking drugs or it could just be the fact that she has gone a little stir crazy from being hounded and put down all the time. I don’t think anybody can really past judgement until they have been in her position. Nobody has ever been hounded and put down as much as she has…so she really is unique case.
It’s good to see that she’s working towards getting her kids back, but surely a license isn’t enough to reverse the judge’s order.
