It’s a balmy 81°F in West Hollywood, but don’t tell that to Ashley Olsen. With a steaming cup of coffee in her hand, the one-time fashion icon was covered from head to toe as she left a neighbourhood Starbucks today (July 9).
Despite the drab ensemble, Ashley tells Hamptons Magazine that she’s committed to her career in fashion. “I’m not an actress, she says. “I’m not a public figure or acting as one. That said, she goes on to say that she is leaving the door open to an acting job sometime in the nebulous future.
Miss Olsen also tells the mag that she prefers a quiet life where she is not constantly pursued by the press. “I’ve definitely had a past life of being a personality, and a very public one,” she says. “But that’s not what makes me comfortable.”

Schlumpy & miserable - what a combo.
I think she is telling the truth when she says she likes to live the quiet life. She has always seemd quite conservative and unlike MK she hasn’t taken on any more acting roles. I don’t really have a problem with her, I respect the fact that she is committed to her fashion career though, because let’s be honest it’s not like her or her sister will ever need to work.
I’d really wish she’d change up her style every so often. The baggy, oversized look just gets boring when worn day in and day out.
