
Decked out in his favourite go-to jeans and t-shirt combo, a solo Shia Labouf was seen out and about in Studio City, CA today (July 9).
The 23-year-old actor is currently riding high on a string on box office hits and now rumour has it he’s the front-runner to play Harvard nerd-turned-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame in the big-screen adaption of Ben Mezrich’s new book.
The Social Network is based on the Boston-born writer’s The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, which hits bookstores Tuesday. The script is by Aaron Sorkin (of The West Wing fame) and the flick will be directed by David Fincher, who famously helmed The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Earlier buzz had Juno star Michael Cera being considered for the coveted role.
