Cover girl Kate Winslet opens up about nudity and why she doesn’t do drugs in the upcoming August issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
In the interview, the Academy Award Best-Actress winner opens up about her famous nude scenes in The Reader. “If people are noticing my boobs in a movie and saying they do what real boobs do, then that’s great,” she says. “I’ll be 34 in October. I can’t keep getting away with it. There was so much of it in The Reader because the story required it, but people have seen enough of my bum and my boobs. I have to put them back.”
A few more highlights:
Kate on having a good reputation: “When everyone was out getting plastered, I didn’t do all of that. I was working. I was doing life. Now that I look back, I feel very lucky. I’ve never taken drugs, never been offered cocaine.”
Kate on defusing the glamour myth: “Our knickers will still go up our ass at the most inappropriate moment. And we’ll still want to flick them out, but you can’t because someone is going to catch you.” So what does one do? “Oh, I run behind pillars and things.”
The August issue of Harper’s Bazaar hits stands July 21.

Still homely and overrated but married to a director helps.
She takes the whole British self deprecation thing too far IMO. It’s like, enuff with personal information already. Who cares? Thank God she’s a great actress so that balances out her annoying side.

I love the second picture… I’ve always liked her- I think she’s a great actress. But seriously that second picture is awesome, regardless of who is in it.

That second picture is all kinds of gorgeous!! Wowwww!!! The cover shot though is very average in my opinion and makes Kate look old. Definately not the best she’s looked. I think she comes across as a very normal, down to earth person but the fact that she is nude in practically every movie kind of annoys me. She’s a great actress, she doesn’t need to bare her tits for attention.

the second photo is amazing!!!! but i’m getting sick of kate always talking about her boobs and how “normal” she is. BS, honey, you live in the lap of luxury, which is nice, but it ain’t like an everyday working stiff.
