Rachel Weisz looks stunning in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, out today. Inside the mag, the 39-year-old comes down hard on actresses who use Botox to stay wrinkle-free.
“It should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen,” she says. “Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?”
The British actress, who lives in New York with her filmmaker fiance Darren Aronofsky and their son Henry also tells the magazine she prefers English girls’ style.
She says: “I love the way girls in London dress. It’s so different to the American ‘blow-dry and immaculate grooming’ thing.”

I guess she hasn’t been exposed to most of America. The “‘blow-dry and immaculate grooming’ thing”….. ahahahahaha…..
You can blame HDTV for the Botox boom. I had the misfortune of viewing a few shows in HD recently and I’ll tell you, it was frightening. I personally don’t like what Botox does to a woman’s face, but after my HDTV experience, I can certainly understand why actresses are lining up to get it.
Rachel is right, botox really does more harm than good. Great example, Meg Ryan, who looked so beautiful and now looks like a monster thanks to Botox.
She’s absolutely right.
Meg Ryan messed up her face long before HDTV and so did Nicole Kidman. Besides, they are movie stars not TV stars.
that’s actually my body with her head.
Apparently she doesn’t feel the same way about Photoshop though.
I don’t think it should be banned but i agree that noticable botox isn’t attractive. Yes, most americans look like hell, sweat pants and flip flops (i’m guilty too!) so she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
“Apparently she doesn’t feel the same way about Photoshop though.”
Blame the magazine for that.
