Britney Spears (finally!) went to the DMV yesterday and applied for a driver’s license!!! Better late than never, right?
Meanwhile, the former mom’s lawyer has revealed the reasons behind yesterday’s shocking custody ruling.
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon didn’t outline his reasons in the written ruling, but Spears’s attorney, Sorrell Trope, says, “We weren’t able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered.”"Specifically,” Trope says, “the judge ordered that by 10 a.m. (Monday) morning, both parties show valid California driving licenses. I’ve been unable to produce evidence of that.”
Trope says another reason behind the judge’s temporary custody ruling “was a claim by Mr. Federline’s attorney that she had not complied with a previous order the court had made – before I came on board (as lawyer) – about having a random drug and alcohol test.”
So, where is the weav-o-licous wreck now? After ditching her kids with estranged ex Kevin Federline, Britney bid farewell to Malibu and took up residence at Peninsula Hotel, a five-star Beverly Hills Hotel.

i want to feel bad for britney, but honestly… she’s either tragically stupid, incredibly arrogant, absolutely crazy, or all of the above.
She has made a mockery out of the judicial system in L.A. I sort of applaud her. For a stupid hilbilly with no education she sure managed to get a way with her antics for a long time.

What in his statement is relevant to Britney’s (HIS CLIENT’s) well being? Isn’t it his job to advise her and NOT trash her in the press?

Maybe he’s giving her an excuse saying she was in-between counsel and didn’t know how to comply.
She had until noon today to give Kevin the kids but she gave them to him two days early. And she sure seems in good spirits for someone who just lost her kids. I know people who would be devastated if they lost their children. But those kids were in the way of Britney’s drug and sex induced lifestyle. Now she can be a big old whore with nothing to worry about!

I hate them all ! every single one of them ! that money-hungry Kevin , that Britney for her stupidity for marrying him , all her lawyers with their bloody excuses , most of all judge with his making the custody ruling based on who’s got and who hasn’t the driving license….

her comeback is so close now! she’s ditched the kids and within next week she’ll become a virgin again. and then everyone will love her and she’ll be so so so so very happy again.

no one is surprised by the judge’s ruling..britney is a mess period and all of this mess is called A WAKE UP CALL!!!!!
While I think any parents losing their children is sad, Britney really has brough it upon herself. I don’t think she ever intended any of this to happen but that she just didn’t know that the lifestyle she was living wasn’t ideal for her children. It’s good to see she is taking steps in reforming but its going to take a bit more than a driver’s license for her to become a better parent and create a more suitable environment for her kids.
