Michael Jackson’s longtime BFF Elizabeth Taylor tweets that she will not be attending his memorial tomorrow.
Here’s what she has to say:
-”I’ve been asked to speak at the Staples Center. I cannot be part of the public whoopla.
-And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word.
-I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event.
-I said I wouldn’t go to the Staples Center and I certainly don’t want to become a part of it. I love him too much.
-My love goes out to Katherine and Michael’s beloved children.”

More power to Liz! Al Sharpton has turned this whole thing into a shame. A forum for him to do his own song and dance. The list of guests released was a joke. I am glad Liz is choosing to have nothing to do with it. Boycott that shit!
She probably wasn’t invited. This whole thing has become about Al and Joe Jackson.
Wait…She tweeted this?!
I’m kind of surprised at this actually, but I completely understand where she is coming from. The memorial has turned into a bit of a star spectacular and while it’s great to celebrate Michael’s life and his music at the moment all Liz probably feels is deep sorrow and pain. She is not in a place to be surrounded by thousands of people and I think that should be respected. She wasn’t just a celebrity friend of his, she was probably his closest friend and you can tell she really had a lot of love for him.
I think the whole thing is absolutely disgusting.
You are so special, Elizabeth. Now stfu, crazy bat.
