After spending the morning at the gym, Chaz Bono was seen meeting up with his girlfriend Jennifer Elia in Los Angeles yesterday (July 3).
The 40-year-old former reality star is currently in the transition from being female to male but mom Cher is pleaing with her only daughter to not to film her sex reassignment surgery for reality TV.
Chaz, formerly known as Chastity, has been inundated with offers from TV networks keen to snap up the rights to document his sex-change story. He is reportedly planning to sign a deal — but Cher is begging him to turn down the offers, because the procedure should is a private matter.
“Chaz has been fielding offers from reality show producers who want to show her sex change on camera,” a source tells the National Enquirer. “After appearing on Celebrity Fit Club (in 2006), Chaz learned the ropes of reality TV. But Cher was shocked that Chaz even considered documenting her life — let alone her sex change on camera.”
Adds the insider: “Cher treasures her privacy.”

He/She must be pretty desperate for money to show something as personal as that on reality tv, and saying that it’s for ‘education’ purposes would be a bunch of crap. I find this whole sex change thing pretty disgusting actually. When you are born gay, live out your sexuality. When you are born woman, don’t try and change the person that you were made to be. If it does get picked up on TV who in their right mind would actually want to watch it? I feel sorry for Cher!
I feel bad for Cher too. It’s a disgrace Chastity is doing this - be gay & stop messing with your body. You are loveable the way you are. Even considering putting this train wreck on TV is another symptom of how low she has become. She needs help. She’s a beautiful, strong, blonde, golden skinned woman. She has a clarity and intelligence about her but I think she is falling into the abyss here. Focus: I don’t see how Chaz can be eligible for elective surgery carrying around that seemingly-increasing load of lard. And anyway–he’s got to live as a man for at least a year before surgery. Call it a dry run, if you will. So we get to see Chaz as a fugly, dumpy dude before he becomes one permanently.
