Katie Holmes has begun work on her next big screen flop.
Dressed comfy and cozy to battle the chilly Aussie winter, the 31-year-old actress was seen on the set of Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark in Melbourne today (July 3) during the first day of production.
The Troy Nixey-directed thriller is based on a 1973 ABC telepic about a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend and discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.
In a couple of weeks, Katie will return to L.A. to perform for Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance 100th episode, airing July 23.
She will pay homage to Judy Garland. In a taped number, she’ll sing and dance to the Garland classic Get Happy.
Katie’s cameo is meant to promote the new foundation she launched with show producer Nigel Lythgoe and Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba. The nonprofit, called Dizzy Feet, aims to support dance education and programs, and talented dancers who can’t afford training.
