The good people over at MGM/United Artists have just released this photo of Tom Cruise in the upcoming movie ‘Lions for Lambs.’
The film follows the lives of two injuried Army rangers in Afghanistan and how they set off a sequence of events involving a congressman (Cruise), a journalist (Meryl Streep) and a professor (Robert Redford).
It will be the first United Artists film produced under the Tom Cruise/Paula Wagner era, since Tom fell out with Paramount Pictures.
Will we be watching?

This looks to be a good movie since it has such great cast… However, the preview sucks!!! I just keep seeing Tom say “do you want to fight terrorists? Yes or no” LOL oh ok Tom
I’ll NEVER pay to see a Tom Cruise movie again. Even when the rest of teh cast is excellent.
I agree that part of the commercial is kind of weird….and inane because the two guys he’s asking are sort of all “Well uh…yeah, I guess I mean sure”
I will watch the movie however because it looks strong and clever but I am SICK of people using the current political strife as Oscar vehicles. No one has an original thought in their head when it comes to making political movies these days….but I also understand that Americans haven’t been as free to speak out against the government in previous years like Brits have.
I will never watch anything with Tom Cruise in it ever again, not even on TV at 3am I would rather watch anything else.

I agree with “MeSoup”; the rest of the cast and the plot are excellent but I just don’t think I can ever warm up to Tom on the big screen again–the guy stepped in it barefoot and there is no going back for him now.

Before Tom Cruise was just tiresome in that generic, trying-too-hard movie star guy kind of way and I never could take him seriously, even if I halfway understood the mass appeal. Now he just exudes ridiculousness; I can’t see how anyone could suspend enough disbelief to sit through a Cruise film. (Incidentally, he looks about the size of Michael J Fox in this photo.)
I used to really dislike him because of the lunatic ranting he did. However, his baby and wife are so gorgeous that I have seemingly forgotten the craziness.
Hopefully this won’t be anti-American or anti-Military. I wish our country could just remember 9/11 for what happened and be damn glad everyday that our soldiers are fighting to protect us. We would have been attacked many times since if we hadn’t stood up for ourselves.
Hey Supersonic- we have always been free to speak out against the government. However, you are posting on a celebrity blog site. How are you qualified to speak out with any logic against the government. Most people in this country aren’t smart enough to speak out against the government but certainly think they are. Don’t waste everybody’s time if you don’t have an intelligent arguement. If you do, however, then go ahead and speak out. We live in a free country.
