Meanwhile, the late 50-year-old pop legend’s body will soon return to his Neverland Ranch for a public viewing scheduled for Friday.

But the question of where MJ will be buried remains unanswered. The singer’s hometown of Gary, Indiana, is asking the family to send him there. City mayor Rudy Clay has been in contact with the Jackson family hoping to make that happen, spokeswoman Lalosa Burns said today. Clay told Chicago radio station WGN that he expects Michael’s body will, at the least, be taken to Gary for a memorial service he is planning for July 10 at U.S. Steel Works ballpark.

If you can’t make it to Santa Barbara, CA to bid farewell, worry not — two weeks before he died, Michael reportedly wrapped up work on an elaborate production dubbed the Dome Project that could be the final finished video piece overseen by the King of Pop.

And finally, Janet Jackson could take Michael’s place for some of the gigs he was scheduled to perform in London. Says a source: “Janet has been sounded out about fronting some of the shows. A number of discussions have taken place and things are looking hopeful.” And if that weren’t enough, Madonna might perform at a tribute concert in September!
