JOHN MAYER LAMENTS MICHAEL JACKSON

Cruising around town in style, John Mayer was seen gassing up his shiny new Ferrari during a sunny afternoon in Calabasas, CA today (June 29).

The lady-loving hitmaker is currently working on his upcoming album, but John took time out of his busy songwriting schedule to weigh (at length, of course) on Michael Jackson’s death.

Seeming genuinely moved by MJ’s passing in a new interview with Time for its special edition on Michael Jackson, Mr. Mayer says it’s the music not the man that is causing the world to mourn so deeply.

“People don’t get upset when they talk about Michael Jackson dying, they get upset when they talk about how much a part of their life it was,” he says. “And that’s the giant cornerstone that’s gone.”

He goes on to refer to Michael as “one of the purest substances ever in music. But it’s frustrating, and somewhat pointless, to ever try and figure out how Michael Jackson arrived at an album like Thriller and how you could arrive at something like it.”

He continues: “It’s one of those things you actually don’t want to bring up to musicians because they don’t want to remember that that kind of greatness is achievable, because it skews the entire bell curve completely.”

John also addresses the hardships people have coming to terms with some of the darker aspects of Jackson’s personal life but he concluded, “We don’t have to reconcile the Michael Jackson we love with another Michael Jackson. In a way, he has returned to pristine condition in death. We can be free now for the rest of our lives to love the Michael Jackson we used to love.”

he will say anything, do anything, act anything for maximum audience attention…..Society doesn’t need eulogies from idiots like Mayer : a talenless, tasteless attention vulture, trying to cash in on some bit of attention. Imitating people, acting in a PR game with Aniston wasn’t enough ? now he is sitting in the coffin with Jackson, trying to suck the audience off in his own direction with continued commentary when nobody needs it. THIS EGOTIST MAKES ME SICK.

John Mayer is exactly right though. Even Michael Jackson knew it, why else would he have told Lisa Marie all those years ago that he would one day die just like Elvis?

Whatev people, John shared his thoughts and if you didnt care you wouldnt have taken the time to read and then comment on it. I like John, he is far from talentless, he is a great musician

Obviously being talented and good-looking isn’t enough–and rich, don’t forget rich.
