Sarah Jessica Parker slips right back into Carrie Bradshaw’s booties – and outrageous fashion sense – as she films a scene Friday for the ‘Sex and the City’ movie on location in New York City.

Rocking a Roberto Cavalli miniskirt, oversized Stella McCartney cardigan and matching Prada clutch, the 42-year-old fahionplate was a shameless label whore as her character made a phone call to her on-again, off-again beau, the always hunky Mr. Big.

    I know on the show she was hesitant to buy a cell phone, which I guess could make sense in 2001. But in 2007, no, it’s quite unlikely that she would not have a cell. Plus she broke down and bought one before the show ended, remember the very last scene where big’s name John came up on her phone? But maybe there is another explanation for why she would be using that pay phone.

    Carrie, like Sarah, is too old for this look. I’m disappointed that they didn’t put her in more classic styles. As an aside, does this mean that my old Sexy Nun heels are back in style? Cool.

    I love the outfit…very hot. I can definately see this whole look taking off. Girls would have to be careful though because it definately has potential to look very slutty. Of course Carrie pulls it off perfectly. And no Anonymous not everyone in New York dresses like this. In fact when I lived there for a while I was kind of shocked at how casually people dressed a lot of the time.

    Who knows? Maybe this is a retro sequence (i.e. setting was pre-2007 when cell phones are popular, that’s why she’s using the pay phone?)

    She’s too old for this look. Seriously. And I live in New York. Those public phones don’t exist anymore ANYWHERE (least of all in Manhattan - maybe a few in the train stations but that’s it). Okay, so there may be one or two somewhere but it’s HIGHLY unlikely that a woman like carey would find one and actually USE it.

    She looks hot there! I don’t know why she has to use a pay phone, and I agree that there are hardly any around anymore, but it adds to the dramatic.
    And why do people get suprised at the clothes they put on her, they did that throughout the show! Sure some were silly, even Sarah Jessica said she never would have worn them, but it was all for show and it made the character who she is.

    Sorry but she looks great. I don’t know how age has anything to do with it. If you have a rockin’ body and great hair then work it! I have seen people that are much younger try to pull of this type of look and it doesn’t work.

    Um, I live in New York, there are payphones everywhere. Maybe not that exact kind in terms of looks but there are payphones everywhere not that you see many people using them. And maybe Carrie is both blonde and brunette in the film..it’s possible her character decides to dye her hair at some point right. The outfit is cute, but I think they should have toned it down for Carrie a little bit, she shouldn’t she be about 40 in the movie?

    laurenash, save the smartass “um” in your responses. It is a FACT that they have removed MANY of the pay phones in new york. Stop splitting hairs bitch - everyone here knows what the hell the point is and it’s a valid one across the united states - THE PAY PHONE BUSINESS HAS DETERIORATED DOWN TO NOTHING in the light of cell phones - it’s hard to find one in New York (let alone a WORKING ONE) COMPARED TO five or ten years ago. Damn, for someone so sarchastic, you’re pretty dense.

    the half gloves and the socks are kind of retarded…cute…maybe but for like a 17 year old in a very safe naiborhood.

    My question is…who dresses like that in real life when thinking in how unsafe dressing like that feel?
    Not that is not ok, more like cities in the USA feel unsafe for women….maybe carrying a gun in the Prada clutch will do.
