The medical examiner has ordered additional testing, like toxicology, and those tests will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. The autopsy was completed at 1 pm PST.
“We anticipate being able to close the case and issue a final cause of death” when everything is done, said Craig Harvey, operations chief for the of L.A County Coroner’s Office. He added, There was “no indication of foul play on the body of Mr. Jackson.”
He further explained that a security hold has been placed on the investigation.
“We know he was taking some prescription medications,” he said. However, “I can’t comment on any specific drugs Mr. Jackson may have been prescribed or used.”

I’m still so saddened by this. I’ve been watching my Michael Jackson dvds and the endless coverage on TV and I just can’t beleive that he is not with us anymore. We have lost a true genius and talent. I hope that his death isn’t turned into a huge conspiracy and that he can rest in peace, unlike the death of Anna Nicole which became a huge media circus. I think that maybe he was stressed about his upcoming tour, as he didn’t want to do that many showes, and when it all became a bit much for him and had a heart attack. We all know his body has been fairly frail over the past few years and maybe just couldn’t handle the heart attack well. Very sad, my thoughts are with his family and friends.

^^^I can imagine there are plenty of children in this world who have had a far worse life than Michael Jackson has had since the age of 9. The difference being Michael had the money and fame to rise above it if he chose. He could afford the best medical care his money could buy, while others flounder in the sea of red tape that is the medical profession in North America–especially when it comes to mental health disorders. He may have broken the color barriers, and put out some influencial music, but in the last decades of his life he did nothing of either.
^^I’m not trying to make it out like he has had the worst possible upbringing. But he has had a bad upbringing - simple. And that has contributed.
Regardless of whether he didn’t do anything for the last 10 years ect. The point is his music has helped; it will stand the test of time.
He could still be alive and not do anything for the next 20 years, it doesn’t make what he has done lesss relevant. Again the artists today look to him as an inspiration…that’s enough.
