Now we know why Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz left the kid at home and suddenly jetted off to New York City — they had some partying to do!
Decked out in match all-black ensembles, the new parents attended the AXE Instinct bash at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. AXE teamed up with Rolling Stone magazine for the Power of Leather launch party for AXE Instinct, a new leather-scented fragrance.
For months now, Axe has been trying to appeal to NYC partygoers by hiring “celebrity names” to attend their sponsored party space. They’re hoping to be the East Coast answer to the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu.
As you may recall, Lindsay Lohan hit up Southampton’s main party strip, North Sea Road, last week. The club has been known as Dune for the last couple of years, but this summer it’s known as the Axe Lounge.
Joining Ashlee and Pete on their evening of work were fellow paid partygoers Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush.

I think she looks really hot! That skirt could look really slutty, but I think she’s really rocking it! I can’t get over how much I love her red hair either.
