‘MY SISTER’S KEEPER’ PREMIERES IN NYC

Looking radiant in her summer white, Cameron Diaz attended the premiere of My Sister’s Keeper at the AMC Lincoln Square theater in New York City today (June 24).

Joined by her co-stars Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vassilieva and Jason Patric, Cammy was eager to debut the flick that some critics deem career-defining for the 36-year-old actress.

Based on the novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult, to flick tells the story of a young girl who looks to earn medical emancipation from her parents who until now have relied on their youngest child to help their leukemia-stricken daughter Kate remain alive.

Meanwhile, it appears Cameron has bestowed it upon herself to teach her young co-star the ABC’s of swearing. Between scenes, she says she tutored 13-year-old Abigail in how best to “drop the f-bomb” during conversation.

Says Miss Diaz: “I did teach Abby how to say the f-word. I taught her how to drop the f-bomb in every way possible. I said, ‘You’re a child in an adult’s world. I can’t be a child for you.’ When she didn’t swear, I said, ‘You’re starting to offend me Abby. If you don’t start swearing every three words then I will fine you’.”

I love love this book. And while Abigail Breslin is a decent actress she just does not fit the character of Anna for me. I’m so disappointed in a lot of the changes they made for this movie

I know that Cameron thought the story about teaching Abigail to swear is cute and endearing, but it’s obnoxious and inappropriate.

Actually, what’s obnoxious and inappropriate is the way those little girls are dressed and made up. Isn’t Breslin like 13? Tsk-tsk.

I don’t think her teaching Abigail to swear is funny or cute at all. Abigail’s probably heard it all before seeing as she works with adults all the time and there was no lack of it in Little Miss Sunshine, but it’s just innapropriate for a woman of Cameron’s age to be encouraging it. Looking foward to seeing this movie though and I think Cam looks great!

Wow didn’t Jason Patric take Julia Roberts away
when she was suppose to marry Keifer Sutherland??
Judging by the trailer you would never know that
Abigal’s character would even want to emanicipate
from her parents..she seems so happy to be with
her sister..Alec Baldwin plays the lawyer she
    hires to do the job

I pretty much doubt Abigail who learns pages of script every day as an actor could be “taught” to swear. If the worst thing this kid is doing is dropping “f-bombs” then she’s in great shape for a teen actor. I like that Cameron gives the kid the time of day. Most acTORS treat the youngins like shiat on their shoe.

Threatening a child if she won’t swear in front of you. You’re such a class act, Cami.

Age has caught up to her. At least she seems to have a fun loving attitude. Her looks did not last. Albeit, she’s got great legs.

You people are unkind. I was there at the premiere (got special tix). Ms. Diaz sat near me, and she was gracious and sweet to everyone around her. The girls sat a few rows ahead, and were very cute - they shrieked when they first saw each other. They were dressed up like you would dress up for any special event, it was a very crowded theater. The movie is excellent.

Oh, and Ms. Diaz looked gorgeous in person, so stop with all the hating.

You people are so dense. She was obviously joking (about teaching Abigail Beslin to curse). Ever hear of sarcasm? Wit? She has a sense of humor. With paparazzi and press hounding her all the time, she occasionally plays a prank, and feeds them ridiculous info. And you shmucks fell for it!
