Rumours have been buzzing for months that Megan Fox is preparing to take on the iconic Lara Croft role in the next Tomb Raider flick. Now comes new that the original butt-kicking heroine Angelina Jolie is fuming about the decision..
The next installment of the hit franchise will focus on the character’s younger years and the movie studio is banking on Megan’s “fresher face” to bring in a huge audience.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun: “Angie was intent on reprising her role. She feels it’s something she helped define and feels robbed that it looks likely to be handed to someone who she considers less capable than her.”
For her part, Angie doubts that Megan — who’s 11 years her junior — has the acting chops to pull off the part.
“Angie isn’t a fan of the Transformers films and believes Megan won’t do the Lara Croft character justice,” the insider adds.
What’s more? Megan has been accused of stealing Miss Jolie’s image: “Everything from her, from her tattoos to her style.”
To get even, Angelina and her manager are liining up a new gig that will compete with Tomb Raider – should Megan accept the controversial role. “Angelina is collaborating on a concept with a new sexy female action character which will absolutely blow Megan out of the water.”

As much as I think they’re both being fake with their images…I would take Megan over Jolie any day.
Maybe I’m imagining things, but wasn’t it reported a little while ago that AJ didn’t want to reprise the role? So why would she care who was doing it next?

It’s amazing how people believe anything that is written in a tabloid unless it’s written about someone they actually like. I don’t think any rational person believes this story but the Jolie haters are anything but rational.
This reminds me of the JLo Beyonce thing. Tabloids wrote about Beyonce copying JLo in everything a couple of years ago, when the latter was on the wave. I always say there’s room for everyone in the business, LOL!

Megan is so much hotter than Jolie ever was. Angelia is like Tom Cruise. Everything they do is so over hyped (Greatest movie ever made etc )That is until we see what a piece of garbage it is.

yea- she said no to tomb raider a long time ago, but she did say that she was glad she did the movies, esp for her daughters…this reeks of another made up tab feud- they attach Angelina’s name to anything to get hits- pretty obvious.

Angelina Jolie is just jealous that Megan Fox is sooo much hotter than she ever was. I always thought that Angelina looked like a fish. Megan fox would do a much better job at being the tomb raider. Even though i have not enjoyed the movies in the past I would consider going to see it if Megan was in it instead of Angelina. Even though i doubt the whole “Angelina and her manager are liining up a new gig that will compete with Tomb Raider” thing is true, i don’t think that Angelina would win.
