MARY-LOUISE PARKER AND ASH HUG IT OUT

Taking a moment out for a loving embrace, Mary-Loiuse Parker was spotted showing her 2 ½-year-old daughter Ash some love during a BBQ at Bronson park in Hollywood yesterday (June 21).

It hasn’t even been two years since the Weeds star adopted the gorgeous girl named Caroline “Ash” Aberash Parker from Ethiopia, but it’s clear that bonding was instant!

Meanwhile, appearing on Web MD’s May issue, Mary Louise opens up about being a single parent who has adopted.

The 44-year-old celebrity mom classes herself as a balanced parent, with a good dose of permissive and disciplinarian style. She describes how she has a strict bedtime routine and expects her children to have good manners.

“Sometimes we’ll get up in the middle of dinner and have a dance party just because there’s music on and everybody’s happy,” she says. “There’s also one wall in my living room that the kids are allowed to paint on, and sometimes we’ll empty all the food that’s gone bad out of the refrigerator, put it in a bucket, mash it around, call it witches’ brew.”

MLP also admits that she was initially nervous about adopting as a single mom.

“I finally just decided, ‘Okay, I’m going to do this, and it’s going to be really hard because I’m single, and I’m going to do it anyway,”

Although she had initially wanted to adopt from Vietnam, she changed her mind when asked to consider adopting a child from Ethiopia.

“It had never occurred to me before, but … I wanted to go somewhere where there was a need,” she says. “It’s not like I only wanted to enlarge my family. I really wanted to give a child a home.”

Miss Parker also has a 5-year-old son named William Atticus.

She sounds like a great mama!! I think it’s such an amazing thing to be able to adopt a child from a third world country and give them a good life that they never would have had without adoption. As long as it’s done well like Mary Louise and Angelina, and not by pushing the laws like Madonna. There has to be respect for their culture. This little girl is adorable and her smile is infectious!

Angelina needs to ask Mary Louise who is doing her daughter’s hair. Ash has the cutest twists in her hair. Zahara needs to get her hair done like that…pronto! Zahara has to step up her game, there is a new chick in town…lol!

Stephi, you don’t know if Mary-Louise is respecting her culture or not. Does Ash speak Amharic? Probably not. Has she been to her homeland since her adoption? Probably not. She did follow the adoption process in Ethiopia which is very efficient and I am glad about that.

I think it’s great she adopted (and everyone else who has) as I think every child deserves a loving home regardless of where they come from.

It’s done with no media because Mary Louise is nowhere near as famous as Angelina or Madonna you can’t even compare.

I think every child deserves a loving home with their parents as much as possible but not with a person from way cross Continents who come and pick them out when they are rich enough to help them stay with their families and live with their culture! As racist as the world is i would run like hell if a white person had adopted me, damn the nannies and the all the high so called society life!

This is what you are supposed to do—Madonna. Take a needy child, NOT steel away a child from it’s father and grandmother by paying off a lot of people.

“anon a and damn proud to be” that is so ignorant. i’m assuming youre 12 and have no concept of what it would be like to live in a 3rd world counrty, or the idea that not everyone lives in their country of birth. “all the nannies and all the high so called society life” is far better, in any sane person’s eyes, for a child than dying of malaria, aids, starvation, etc., suffering which often plagues these countries. laws should be respected, but its good to know that at least some ppl are doing positive things for these children.
