The much-hyped Lady Gaga was the apparent highlight.
Clad in a studded one-piece, the singer performed a medley of a remixed version of LoveGame and Poker Face during the indoor-outdoor streetside show.
Billed as an ode to her native New York, Gaga kicked off the performance stuck inside a faux subway train — which she later exploded with a stick of pyro dynamite — and followed with a raunchy setpiece that featured fake police officers-turned strippers and ended with Gaga posing with sparklers shooting from her bustier.
Prior to her performance, Gaga — dressed as a flapper — picked up the prize for Best International Video by an Artist for Poker Face.
“You guys make it so hard to love anywhere else,” she said in her thank-you speech. “To God and the gays!”

Ugh that on stage costume just looks disgusting. Does she not realise that having your vagina and your ass hanging out is just not attractive. Seriously. I really like her music and I thought Poker Face deserved to win, but I’m just getting over HER.

I really don’t think seeing her frontal lady parts is attractive. Then again, I guess it does take away from that face of hers. That said, I grudgingly admit I love her song LoveGame. Can’t help it.

all this talk about the MMVA’s and no talk about the Jonas Brothers actually co-hosting the show and performing twice to a crowd of tween girls clad in Nick headbands and fake ray bans?
