“Oh, my gosh, I have a lot of wrinkles. It’s mostly laugh lines, but it is what it is. And sometimes I see a young beautiful girl and I think, ‘Ouch!’ I can’t say never, but I’m kind of a naturalist.”
– Forty-year-old country diva Faith Hill keeps it real when it comes to plastic surgery in the upcoming issue of People magazine

I feel the same way about facial wrinkles that come from happiness…….it’s the frown/anger lines that really age people, IMO.

It is sad that we can’t all just get older and it doesn’t have to be that big of a deal! I am 26 and already stress about getting older. It is ridiculous. She is beautiful and shouldn’t have to worry about what she looks like but that is the society we live in so we all feel the pressure.

I hear ya hon….I’m turning 37 in November- so crazy to me.I try and look at people who have taken care of themselves, and “regular” people I meet who look fantastic. My neighbor is 90, and looks 65- still walks all over the place, lives by herself, has her wits……amazing. Our society is so shallow, it does put a lot of pressure on people to look good, no matter what age. And all the constant new PROCEDURES we are offerred to “fix” ourselves…………oy!

I’m with you, my2cents and psl! I turned 36 this year it’s hitting me just now how I’m getting older. It’s the first time I’ve gotten wrinkles, my bones are creaking and things are just different. I totally get what Faith Hill is saying. Although she’s gorgeous and she knows she is, she’s still older than a 20 year old and it’s kind of hard to take. *sigh* You know, older men are considered “distinguished”, but older women are just old. It sucks!

I just think women who age naturally will look better in the long run than women who try and maintain youth artifically.

It does suck that when we get older we are just old but George Clooney is hotter now than he was 20 years ago. Where is the justice in that
We do have women like Helen Mirren to give us encouragment. She is hot and what in her 60’s?

Helen Mirren and Judi Dench are gorgeous.,

I’ll never understand country music. Why do women want her man? He’s freaking bald on the top, not that its a bad thing, but own it! Don’t hide under a hat!
