Kelly Clarkson’s orange printed dress wasn’t the only thing that made her stand out at Sunday night’s (June 21) MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto.
Beating the odds, the American Idol champ was among a handful of invitees with some true discernable talent amid a sea of reality stars, celebuspawns and soon-to-be forgotten teen stars.
Thousands of screaming fans have converged on Toronto’s Queen Street West to check out the likes Brody Jenner and Twlight hotties Taylor Lautner and Rachelle Lefevre do their thing on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, early winners of the show include Enfield, N.S. rapper Classified, who won the first trophy of the evening - best rap video for his song, for Anybody Listening. Nickelback won for best rock video for Gotta Be Somebody, Marianas Trench received the best director trophy for Cross My Heart, while the Midway State took best independent video for Never Again.
As for Kelly? She’s currently performing her hit single, My Life Would Suck Without You, and the fans are going wild. Not only is her voice pitch perfect but Miss Clarkson is proving she’s one brave fastionista clad in a revealing bandeau top!

I like Kelly C’s voice. Most celebs would be freaked out at being that heavy, but I like her laid back attitude. She has to have a strong sense of self to shrug off being that pudgy.
Kelly does have a very good voice, but I think her songs just get wayyy too overplayed. It makes me get really sick of her. She hasn’t definately got some staying power though. I think her dress is pretty terrible here and Rumer just looks ugly as always. Audrina looks pretty hot though, it’s nice to see her dressed a little more sophisticated instead of kind of skanky.
Is Rumer Willis EVER going to disappear? She has accomplished absolutely nothing in her life and has no talent.
Kelly Clarkson doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks and I can respect that. She’s paid to sing, not be a certain weight. And she has an awesome voice.
I agree with hotbitch. Kelly Clarkson has never proclaimed to be anything other than a singer. I actually find the fact that she’s not a puking cokewhore quite refreshing, actually.
