Looking unseasonably covered up in an oversized shawl, Kelly Clarkson was all smiles as she rehearsed for the 2009 Much Music Awards in Toronto today (June 20).

Moments later, Fergie, Will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas took the staged as they prepared for their performance at the annual award show.

This year’s show will be co-hosted by the Jonas Brothers and — despite being totally D-list by most standards — boasts a greater list of “stars” than ever.

Presenters include teen faves Taylor Lautner and Rachelle Lefevre of Twilight fame and Audrina Patridge and Brody Jenner of The Hills. Performers include Nickelback the ever hyped Lady Gaga, who will perform LoveGames.

Says GaGa: “Something I’m very conscious of is I think it’s very boring when pop singers do the same (thing) over and over again. I think it’s important to really make art and really make memorable moments in storytelling. You’ve got the world’s attention for four minutes, why would you say the same thing over and over gain?”
