Jennifer Garner may have been busy promoting her latest action flick, but her 22-month-old daughter wasn’t far from her heart as she stepped out in New York City today donning an adorable violet frock.
For the next few months, the Big Apple will be home to the Afflecks. Jennifer is set to star as Roxanne, opposite Kevin Kline, in ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’ premiering November 1 at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre.
But 35-year-old actress/mom isn’t the only one in the family trying something new. Hubby Ben makes his directorial debut on October 19 with ‘Gone Baby Gone.’

Irons are your friend
she looks great here- purple is a fabulous color for her.
she’s purty
She is soooo cute. Ben got her that necklace and she seriously never takes it off. How cute is that?
She looks nice. She must have realised how good she can look after the MTV awards and has finally decided to make a bit more of an effort. I wonder if she called her little girl Violet because she likes the color or just because she likes the name?
she’s been looking great lately.
my2cents… didn’t know that about her necklace. that is really sweet.
I love her, but she needs to iron her dress!
Pretty dress, could def use a steamer. Not loving the hair, though. I think the baby they named the baby Violet after Jen’s grandma.
she is looking so good these days. having a baby really helped her. she looks so much happier and vibrant too.
such a pretty dress. She really works it well.
A 35-year-old “Roxanne”??? Jen looks fabulous and all, but they’ve got to be kidding. I’m so tired of Hollywood casting actors that are far too old for their characters. They only do it for the big names.
Broadway, not Hollywood. Anyway Kevin Kline is waaaaaaaaaay older than she.
You people act like she actually walked out the house like that! It’s a cute dress but was she supposed to steam-iron it on the ride over???? Wrinkles happen; big deal. What I really want to know is why she can’t do something to that drab-ass hair of hers. Cut it, layer it, do something! It’s so soccer mom.
