TRAVELLING IN STYLE

jenny-mccarthy-lax-hawaii.jpg

Rocking Gucci booties and a patent leather Stella McCartney bag, babe-with-a-brain Jenny McCarthy cuts a stylish figure as she arrives at LAX airport on Wednesday following a brief but well-deserved vacation at beau Jim Carrey’s Hawaiian hideaway.

No big news here, I understand, but ever since Jenny kicked off her autism awareness campaign, I have absolutely fallen in love with her. Finally, a celebrity voice!

Be sure to catch her tonight on ‘Larry King Live’ where she will talk about her fight to save her son after his devastating diagnosis and how Jim is helping her in her brave battle.

(I am officially Jenny’s proxy publicist.)

I agree completely with you Arasto, I have been watching her make the talk show rounds and LOVE HER! I”ve always been a fan, her ability to laugh at herself is her best feature. I even bought the latest People magazine b/c she was on the cover. I haven’t bought a People in years! (I quit buying when they switched to that glossy paper that can’t be recycled.)

wow, I was just about to ask why this dumbass is relevant. Her “talent” is getting naked and making stupid faces- that’s funny?

I think she is a sweet person and I usually don’t like girls who get naked for $$.

You should read her pregnancy / parent books parissucksliterally, I think she is genuinely a nice person. If anyone was to pay me to be in Playboy I’d do it in a heartbeat. The pictures are usually tastefully done, its not Hustler.

Yeah, she really turned out to be a whole lot more than a bimbo. Does she work now? Is she doing anything except dating whats-his-face?

There is an article she did for CNN about it. It’s really sad, but in true Jenny form, there is a hint of humour in it.

I see your point anonymous, but I’m not reading ANY “celeb”s book on pregnancy/parenting. I couldn’t give a shit what they think.

Her books are really well written psl and aren’t the least bit preachy, just facts she’s researched and humorous anecdotes. I read the People article as well. She is very up front and honest talking about how writing the books has financed her son’s costly recovery effort. She also makes the point of saying she comes out w/ a perfume line you know its because she needed the money!

she is the voice that parents of kids with ASD so desperately needed.
i am grateful she is bringing biomed treatment to the forefront…it is truly what made the difference for so many families i know

she’s come a long way from Singled Out! Makes Carmen Electra seem pointless.

Divina: “all the time”? You must not have read my posts, regarding Scarlett, Aniston, Lopez (well about her looks- ha ha), Angelina, Brad, George Clooney…………\
yes, it is good if she brings some help to those with autistic children…..better than the Travolta’s……that’s for damn sure. I still won’t buy the stuff celebs “write”.

The sad part is the average American wouldn’t be able to “save” their child from autism. Her interview with People said its a year long wait to get financial assistance and even then its just pennies on the dollar of what’s required.

Yeah I really like her. It’s good to see that she’s out there using her celebrity for a good cause, and you know she really is dedicated due to the fact that her cause is so close to home. You know…not every girl who takes her clothes off is dumb. In fact some of them are the smartest girls you will ever meet.

I used to think she was so pretty but then when I saw her talking on television she can be quite a pig. I don’t like when girls are like that. I mean she is being honest I guess but talking about burps and passing gas just doesn’t seem ladylike and I am not a prude either. BUT, after seeing her thru the years, she really doesn’t create any scandal where she’s in the spotlight in a negative manner. I don’t see what is wrong with reading a celebs book about any subject. I heard hers is good and I also read Paul Reiser’s(Mad About You) book called Fatherhood, when my first child was little. It was a good read, it made me laugh and realize we are all the same in a way. It’s just entertainment, not a bible. I think since I have had two children I may go to the library and check out her book.

I love Jenny and think her latest speaking out on autism is amazing.

I do have to point out though, the scary guy in the picture behind her. He cracks me up.

i still think she’s a little obnoxious but she has come a long way since her mtv days. good for her for raising autism awareness.

I read the People article this week with her… it broke my heart. I had no idea what they had gone through. She seems to have matured a lot since her Singled Out days. (Side question: what ever happened to her co-host, Chris Hardwick?) Glad she’s using her celebrity to do some good. Did you see the TMZ video that goes along with these pictures? She was walking through the airport, and some douche was begging for a picture, claiming to be her biggest fan. She asked him to give the name of the book she just released. Needless to say, he couldn’t do it. She pointed out that her biggest fan would have known the title. I like that she has some wit. :)

Erika I saw Chris Hardwick on CSI, he’s not a regular just on one ep. I lived for Singled Out in high school.

She’s really grown up to be quite a woman, hasn’t she? I like her more as time goes on. She used to be annoying, but her maturity really shines through now. Plus, she’s a walking billboard for weight loss & control. Who would know she’d ever had a problem?

There is a lot more to her than I had orginally thought; especially her devotion to her son.
