It’s Bridget Moynahan with 5-week-old John Edward Thomas Moynahan.
The 36-year-old actress split from her NFL beau and baby-daddy Tom Brady last December, but he was on hand when she gave birth in California on August 22. He even spent a few days with mother and son (before beating it to Boston to be with his supermodel gal pal Gisele Bundchen.)
The new mom declined to be interviewed, but OK! reports that she is facing single motherhood with an optimistic outlook. Even though she has a development deal with ABC, the actress plans to put her career on hold.

Bridget is gorgeous. There is something very natural and serene about her… baby is cute, he looks a lot like his dad. I like that she opted out of doing an interview.

She is beautiful. She has simply done what so many other celebrities have - given the public a gorgeous photo shoot before the paparazzi hound her and her celebrity baby to death. Good to just get the kid out there. He stands no chance with his famous parents for any type of privacy. Make your deals your way Bridget - good for you.
Bridget gave all the money from OK to charity. It says it on the Splash blog, and names the charity. I think that’s great, and so will John when he gets older. It’s not as if he wouldn’t be snapped by the paps anyway, and this way a charity gets some money.

Why is she a good mom because she isn’t working? There is nothing wrong with being a working mother! Especially when as a single parent. What makes her a good mother is the love and devotion that I am sure she has for her son. Or the good example that she will set for him. Or the (hopefully) respectful relationship she has with his father. Her plans to work have ZERO impact on her mothering skills. (If you don’t believe me, take a look a Britney, she didn’t work for the vast majority of her kids lives thus far and it hasn’t been so great for her)
I don’t see what she has to be jealous about with the whole Gisele thing. She is really beautiful! I find it strange that she put these pics in the mag though and then declined an interview!?! Why did she do it then?

Actually, staying at home gives one more opportunity to put ones mothering skills into action. It is both quantity and quality that count, not just quality. Good for Bridget to take some time off. Good for her if she takes many years off to raise her son. She will never regret it.

The baby is old enough to start leaving the house without being hidden in a stroller, so if she didn’t do this, the paps would be hounding her. This way she got money for her favorite charity and she can start bringing him out and about. Good for her and she looks beautiful. If she was so into Tom Brady’s money, wouldn’t she be sucking up to him instead of shunning him? Tom Brady’s supporters just hate her because they expected her to come running back to Boston and live off him, but this woman’s got balls that her ex lacks.
if she’s a good mom, then she’s a good mom… not because she decided not to work. society glorifies when a parent stays at home. while it can be wonderful, no one talks much about the other half of staying at home: the stress and frustration. i’m just saying.

I can understand why celebrities want to show off their babies in OK. First of all they get some good publicity and they get to show off the apple of their eye! When my brother and his wife had their babies they were obsessed with them, I’m sure if they had had the option of doing in a spread in OK they would have! I don’t really see the problem in it. Bridget looks good here and her little boy is cute! John is a fairly old fashioned name, Jet would have been better but its already taken by John Travolta I guess. John’s going to be a cutie anyway, he’s got good genes.

I can’t STAND the way people with kids think their fucking brat is the next best thing since sliced bread (which is fine because it’s THEIR kid) but then they expect YOU to think the same way — gee, you fucked and had a kid - that’s NEVER been done before. Here’s the thing… giving birth, is NOT a miracle (it’s been done hundreds of billions of times before on this planet by human beings and animals)… raising that baby to be smart, considerate and honest (instead of the loser celebrities we read about on this blog and the crooks and criminals in this world) — now THAT is a miracle. Show me the kid in 25 years — THEN we can talk.
What’s with the last name? If she’s not a bitter woman, why do the obvious? Does anyone stop to think that maybe this 36 year old woman got desperate when her boyfriend at the time decided to end things, and in an attempt to salvage whatever was left (the oldest trick in the book and IT DOESN’T Work), got herself preggars. 3 yrs they dated and no pregnancy, but lo and behold a month after breaking up she’s pregnant!!! And then denies the father any public part in the birth of this child. I’m not saying Tom Brady is a great person and would not greatly offend someone to these lengths, but she went on TV and proclaimed the father’s identity, carried her baby bump proudly and then this. I don’t get it. I could not see how a seemingly sophisticated and classy lady, was going around without the baby-daddy and parading her pregnancy. I think the high road would have been to go away and have said baby in peace and come back looking dignified. The getting pregnant didn’t win the dude back and telling the world who the father is didn’t either. So she chose to punish him one last time by giving the boy her name? Bitter is what comes to mind. Vindictive too. I don’t know Tom, but poor Tom.
