Colour was seemingly the dress code as celebrity fashionistas tapped into a rainbow of shades at the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City tonight (June 15).
Diane Kreuger (in Jason Wu), Blake Lively (in Michael Kors) and Ashley Olsen were among a slew of stars who stepped out in style to honour designers Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs and then later watch a special director’s tribute to Michelle Obama. The First Lady’s go-to designer, Jason Wu, just so happens to be nominated for this year’s Womenswear Designer of the Year trophy.
While this red carpet doesn’t garner as much attention as May’s Costume Institute Gala, the awards doled out come with a level of industry recognition equivalent to an Oscar.
Other Hollywood types on hand to raise a drink to all things fashion included the likes of Claire Danes Doutzen Kroes, Hilary Rhoda, Kirsten Dunst, Molly Sims, Rachel Zoe, Tallulah Willis, Taylor Lautner, Whitney Port, Justin Timberlake, Heidi Klum and Anna Wintour.

blake, diane and ashley look great but kirsten dunst looks like she rolled out of bed, smeared on eyeliner and forgot that reese witherspoon’s already been photographed in that dress.
Tallulah Willis looks awful. These girls should give up trying to be in hollywood. Go get a real job.
diane and blake are both gorgeous!
Blake looks fabulous!

Why was yet another fugly Willis kid at this event? Are all the Willises fame whores?
Ashley’s dress is a little M.O.B (mother of the bride)
