Bromance buddies Pete Wentz and John Mayer were seen leaving Hotel Cafe in Hollywood last night (June 14) after John played an impromptu $5 live set just before midnight.
After the show, the Gravity singer offered up a little TMI — after he tweeted from a public restroom!
“The ultimate live tweet: peeing in a club bathroom, but not without facing the mirror and mugging as if to say ‘hey, you’re doing great,” John wrote on Twitter.
Mr. Mayer is notoriously candid on the micro-blogging site. On Saturday, he helped his pal Rob Dyrdek celebrate his new film Street Dreams at L.A. hotspot MyHouse.
The actor ended up getting too drunk and had to be taken to the hospital to get his stomach pumped.
At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, John tweeted: “In triage at Cedars with @Robdyrdek. When the contents of his stomach hit that silicon bag and we all saw it, we just broke into applause.” He later added: “Applause. Sh*t! Applause.”
Luckily, it was a case of alls-well-that-ends-well as Dyrdek tweeted the next day: “A funny night out with @johncmayer.”
UPDATE: Looks like anything passes for a joke nowadays.
Turns out John was only kidding when he said his friend went to the hospital to have his stomach pumped after a hard night of partying.

Twitter has made me hate John Mayer.
How is it in any way funny for someone to have their stomach pumped? It’s kind of pathetic that guys their age can’t control their alcohol intake and seem to find it cool to completely overdo it like that. And the fact that it was a joke is even worse. John is a really talented guy, I don’t see why he feels the need to show off and act like a douche all the time. He wasn’t like that when he was first famous was he?
