America Ferrera is making the most of her time off while on hiatus from ABC’s Ugly Betty.
Joined by felllow young actor Lance Gross, the 25-year-old starlet was spotted shooting scenes for the upcoming film Family Wedding at Union Station in Los Angeles yesterday (June 12.)
Co-starring Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia, the Rick Famuyiwa-helmed clash-of-cultures comedy centres on two overbearing fathers who must put aside their differences to plan the wedding of their son (Lance) and daughter (America) in less than two weeks.
Meanwhile, Season 4 of Ugly Betty will premiere on September 25. With the show’s ratings down 15% in its last season, producers plan to bring back the focus to America’s title character and tone down the outrageousness.
So much for the whole telenovela gimmick!

Sounds exactly like the movie Guess Who with Ashton Kutcher, Zoe Saldana and Bernie Mac. That was ok, but the cast was a lot better. America Ferrara really gets on my nerves!
