Surrounded by photographers, Kristen Sewart and Dakota Fanning were seen making their way into a studio in Los Angeles today (June 8 ) in preparation for their upcoming film, The Runaways.
In the Floria Sigismondi-directed and written coming-of-age biopic about ‘the 70s teenage band The Runaways, Kristen rocks out as the legendary Joan Jett while Dakota will play lead vocalist Cherie Currie.
While casting may still be short a few bandmembers, Michael Shannon, the buzzed-about character actor who finally snagged an Oscar nomination this year for his performance in Revolutionary Road is currently in negotiations to play alongside Kristen and Dakota as music producer Kim Fowley.
Miss Stewart has been busy in the recording studio in recent days in hopes of actually singing some of the songs in the film, which is slated for a 2010 release.

I am so sick of Kristin’s whole “I hate cameras” shtick. If she hates cameras so much, why is she an actress?
I thought Dakota was going to grow up to be a regal looking beauty like Gwyneth Platrow. I was wrong.

ps, Donna Martin Graduates (lol), well there is a difference between being an actress and being a celebrity who’s followed by paps everywhere. Maybe she didn’t picture herself being like that–like a lilo/britney/paris type. Twilight has made that happen. I’m really glad she’s doing ‘The Runaways’ and I only hope she keeps taking juicy, challenging roles like that to keep her far away from teeny pap like Twilight. She has too much potential.
