For its 8th annual edition entitled ‘The Magic of Africa’, this fundraising event, the single most important for the Swiss Red Cross, aimed to raise funds for its ‘Victims of Forgotten Disasters’ programme, targeting countries with extreme suffering, often overlooked by the media.
As for Shania? Since kicking her music producer hubby Mutt Lange to the curb last year for cheating, the 43-year-old country music star has been keeping to herself.
In early January 2009, fan forums were reporting that Shania was planning to make a big announcement regarding her new album later that month. However, days later a spokesperson from Mercury Nashville told Country Weekly that no new album would be coming “anytime soon.”

I think this divorce pretty much trashed her life. Laying low is what most normal people would probably do. Hope we hear from her soon.
She looks like she’s had a rough year. Good for her for not going all “Joan River’s surgery” on us.
I think she’s really gorgeous. Don’t know if she’s had surgery or not, but she’s ageing really well. She was the one who brought country music into mainstream. Remember what a huge success Man I Feel Like a Woman was? I’m pretty sure everyone had that album!
She was good when she was popular. But she is now retired and most people highly doubt that she will ever put out another CD. It has been too long. She was fun way back when though!
