First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha did some sightseeing in Paris today (June 5), including a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
Hundreds of onlookers screamed “Michelle” as she stepped out of a Chevrolet to wave to the crowd before shepherding 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha into the landmark tower by a discreet side entrance in the south pillar.
The family left just as the tower, soaring 324 metres above the Paris skyline, suddenly lit up the night sky with thousands of sparkling lights. After dining at Le Jules Verne, the Obama trio called it a night.
President Barack Obama is expected to fly home on Sunday while the family will spend an extra day in Paris. On Sunday, Mrs. Obama and her girls will visit French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni and their children at the Elysee Palace.

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24th, 2009 , was a short column entitled “Replacing Michelle” in the National Review “The Week” column. I found this interesting, so here it is, word for word, as it ap peared:
Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama: The University of Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run “programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting” .
In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 - nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator.
Oh did we mention that her husband had just become a US Senator? He sure had, and he requested a $1 million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network Michelle!
But now that Mrs. Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000?
Let me add that Michelle’s position was a part time, 20 hour a week job. And to think they were critical of Blagoyovich’ s wife for taking $100,000 in fuzzy real estate commission?
My thoughts: How did this bit of quid pro quo corruption escape the sharp reporters that dug through Sarah Palin’s garbage and kindergarten files? Unbelievable!
If she could “work the system” that well from the outside; just imagine what she will do for us from the inside?

Unfortunately a President can never please everybody, and do everything he would like to do. It would be one of the hardest jobs in the world and I really do beleive that he is doing a great job of it and really trying his best to be the best President he can be for our country. He’s doing a much better job than others I have seen. I love this family, I think Michelle is so classy and gorgeous and the girls seem really sweet and just like normal kids.
