Ashlee Simpson certainly isn’t going to let a little bit of controversy slow her down — after all, she’s used to it!

Days after getting into a verbal death match with Michelle Trachtenberg, the faux pop star joined up with a friend in Sherman Oaks, CA yesterday (June 4) for a shopping at Aahs on Ventura Blvd. Considering that Pete Wentz will celebrate his 30th birthday today, it’s no surprise to see his doting wife doing some last-minute shopping at the trendy gift shop.

Ashlee can soon be seen this fall in the CW’s reboot of the camp classic Melrose Place. She plays Violet Foster, a small-town girl who comes to L.A. with a secret. No word on whether her bad girl on-screen character will live up to her wild real life antics.
