It was another night and another premiere in Hollywood on Monday (June 1).

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds joined forces on the red carpet as they arrived simultaneously for the premiere of their new flick, The Proposal, at the El Capitan Theatre.

In theaters June 19, the Anne Fletcher-directed romantic comedy sees Sandra as a feared and demanding Big Apple boss who finds herself faced with deportation back to Canada when her visa application is denied. Enter Ryan, her miserable assistant, who she coerces into marrying her in order to gain U.S. citizenship.

Earlier in the day, Ryan sat down with Access Hollywood to chat about his own proposal to wife Scarlett Johansson.

Claiming he popped the big question via text message, the hunky 32-year-old actor says: “The hardest part was to compress all of that love, all of that joy into just one text message. And then it was just hitting send.”

When asked about it by Entertainment Tonight, he said: “It’s sort of like what they teach trial lawyers. Never ask a question unless you’re absolutely sure of the answer.”

In other words, Ryan will do and say anything to evade the question.

Ryan on his nude scene with Sandra: “If I didn’t know Sandra Bullock completely before, I do now. I know her in ways that her husband Jesse James would turn me into some sort of flying curd cottage cheese-type pudding if he knew. It’s pretty incredible. “It’s actually ridiculous. Not only are you naked, you’re doing a stunt as well. It’s like expertly lit Cirque de Soleil porn.”

Ryan on his off-screen relationship with Sandra: “She and I have known each other for eight or nine years, so we had this friendship already. The movie is kind of our chemistry in real life.”

Ryan on ensuring he looks good on camera: “I was training for a marathon at the time, so that was my workout. I had to do these six or seven mile runs every morning. That was enough.”
