Big screen siren Rose McGowan allegedly lost out on the female lead for the movie ‘Speed Racer’ because casting directors suspected her of having plastic surgery and thought her unrecognizable to audiences.
“The studio felt like she was hard to recognize and worried that by the time the movie hit theaters, fans might not know who she was,” says our insider.
A rep for the actress said “she was not pursuing this role.”
Somewhere an exuberant ex-wife of Robert Rodriguez is celebrating uncontrollably.

I don’t blame them, she looks like a totally different person. What’s worse, she looks like a 45 year old woman who’s had her face stretched back.

Yeah, Starr hit it. She was so soft & pretty before…now she looks like a middle-aged woman with a face lift…why did she do that?!? (and don’t tell me the car accident story! Anyone knows that’s B.S.)

I lost a lot of respect for her when she hooked up with her married director. Then I remembered she’s a Marilyn Manson castoff and realized I shouldn’t have had any respect for her in the first place.
