Jessica Simpson’s career has stalled but her spending has not.
The struggling country singer reportedly surprised beau Tony Romo with a custom speedboat appraised at $100 000 when he turned 29 last month.
During a birthday bash on April 21, the the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was stunned when he was handed the extravagant gift from Jessica, who had the 25-foot Malibu Wakesetter shipped to the Dallas mansion where they call home.
A pal of Tony’s tells the National Enqurier: “Tony loves speed, and with all of the horsepower in his new boat, he can go as fast as anyone on the lake. Jessica knows that Tony has always wanted a boat.”
Adds the snitch: “Jessica is hoping that a birthday gift to Tony will lead to marriage, and by this time next year that she’ll be walking down the aisle with him.”
Only time will tell whether money can buy Jessica love…

Just because her singing career is dead doesn’t mean she isn’t making money. In Vanity Fair it mentioned the Jessica Simpson Brand being worth 400 million dollars. She is not hurting for anything, can spend what she pleases.

So she lives in Dallas now? Isn’t she out in LA a fair bit though? I don’t think she’s short of money either, she really made the most of her business opportunites and has made quite an empire for herself. A speedboat is an awesome present! I remember she bought a ridiculously expensive watch for Nick’s birthday on Newlyweds one year as well, so I guess she just likes to spoil the men in her life.
