ELISABETH HASSELBECK DOES ‘PREGNANCY’

hass-bec.jpg

Dangerous and offensiveView hostess Elisabeth Hasselbeck talks about “passing out” once during each pregnancy, craving Tootsie Rolls and being conservative in the upcoming issue of Pregnancy magazine.

She just has one comment about Rosie O’Donnell.

Elisabeth on being pregnant and arguing with Rosie O’Donnell: “When a woman cries, it’s never seen as a sign of strength and never seen in a positive light. A man cries and he’s sensitive, and a woman cries and she’s weak. So even when you’re debating another woman, the first person to cry pretty much loses.”

Elisabeth on being a conservative mother in 2007: “Being a conservative mother isn’t the challenge. Being a conservative in New York City on television is the challenge.”

Nothing scares me more than skinny pregnant women. Unless there’s an army of them and they’re all dressed like killer clowns.

Yes, she’s such an embarrassing waste. Why is this twit on tv? She is so ill informed, and small minded. I’m mortified every time she opens her mouth. Make her 15 minutes OVER!

Her biggest claim to fame was losing chunks of hair out of her head during her stint on Survivor. What a waste of barely-stretched skin. BTW, is she carrying way low or what?

You may not like what she has to say, but she stands her ground and backs it up with logical, well thought out reasonings. Rosie was a loudmouth who liked to tell people they were wrong. Elisabeth voiced her disagreement but never once said someone else was wrong. She looks gorgeous here.

I think people actually have forgotten what “conservatism” really is. What you are seeing here is right wing evangelical fascism - not conservatism.

It is strange to see women when they are sooo skinny and pregnant. She has a disease though where she is allergic to just about every food on the planet so that may be it.

Yes! evangelical fascism! because conservatism is only getting rid of taxes so there is goodness all arond coming from the few rich! yeah! that is not egotistical…no! That is ultracapitalist goodness! Go conservative ultra ortodox capitalist…a different god ($$) same ortodoxia.

Why is she wearing a burka(sp?) on the cover?

  38. Aysla
    September-19-2007 @ 8:42 pm

^A burka is a head-to-toe garmet that covers the face as well (except for the eyes). This is just a long hooded sweater something…

  39. Stephi
    September-19-2007 @ 10:26 pm

I don’t see why she gets sooo much negativity for her political choices. Just because she happens to like Bush and agree with some of his policies does not make her a bad person. This is meant to be a country where everyone is free to have their own opinions. It’s awful that she feels like she is attacked for that. That is EXACTLY the kind of country that I would hate for us to turn into. I don’t agree with everything she says at all, political opinions aside she seems like a really sweet person and she’s one of the best looking pregnant women I’ve seen! She gets her maternity clothing choices spot on!

  40. hairball
    September-19-2007 @ 10:38 pm

She is a totally brainwashed, misinformed, over-emotional MORON.

  41. anon
    September-19-2007 @ 11:02 pm

Wow, are these comments ^ super shallow. People don’t need to like Elizabeth because she looks good and is sweet! Are you kidding me? And in America people have all the right to be outraged over her stubborn devotion to Bush and his moronic politics. Personally, I’ve never seen or heard her admit she’s wrong for ANYTHING. That arrogance and stubborness is why people can’t stand her. So just because YOU choose who you like based on their level of cuteness (rolls eyes) there are others who dig a helluva lot deeper and are actually concerned about REAL issues that don’t include how great a pregnant Elizabeth looks.

Anon,,,spot on!It is indeed very immature but coming from Stephi,im not surprised. Hasselbeck is too adamant and refuses to accept other views. Now thats what i call narrow-minded conservatism. She shd confine her hallelujiahs for church.

Darkness is offended by the light.
Freedom of speech is supposed to be for everyone. It’s too bad that conservatives have to deal with such hatred and bullying when they express their views. Tolerance is the mantra of the day; however, it’s one-sided: only the conservatives are expected to be tolerant. The liberals seem to feel justified in bullying and hating. Is it because conservatives are so evil that they deserve such treatment? No, it’s because they have a different point of view; a different standard of ethics. And for this they are crucified.
Darkness is offended by the light.

  46. Michelle
    September-20-2007 @ 6:12 am

One more thing…..aren’t people allowed to be “narrow-minded” in your country? How about some logical rebuttals to Elizabeth’s statements rather than name-calling and hatred? Can’t you see how mean you are? Can’t you see that you wouldn’t like to be treated the way you’re treating her? Do you actually expect for people to change their world view because they’re being bullied to do so? Offering compelling logical arguments would be kinder and probably more successful in bringing about a change of mind….
I’ve probably just wasted my time here….

  47. Barks
    September-20-2007 @ 6:24 am

Never in a million years would I expect Elizabeth H to get 48 comments on this blog… now that I read them i understand. Good point Michelle, everyone is entitled to their opinion and we should learn to utilize the Golden Rule.

  48. Kimberly

Most Liberals only believe in Free Speech for themselves. Sad but true.

  49. starr
    September-20-2007 @ 7:04 am

Michelle, she’s not going to read this, and even if she did, she’s in the public eye and shouldn’t cry every time someone puts her down. If she called me anything “mean” I would laugh in her face and not care in the least. I don’t agree with her and think she is a misinformed nitwit. THAT is MY opinion, is that ok with you?

  50. starr
    September-20-2007 @ 7:06 am

And Kimberly, I believe in free speech for everyone, though I put myself in any “liberal” or “conservative” class. That doesn’t mean I, or anyone else, can’t comment on it and disagree. “Conservatives” put down what “liberals” say ALL the time. Neither side is innocent of that.

  51. starr
    September-20-2007 @ 7:07 am

    ^oops — should be “Though I DON’T put myself in any…..”

  52. Lola Lola
    September-20-2007 @ 7:08 am

Yeah, that’s why Bush wouldn’t allow anyone who didnt agree with him to his “public” speeches…He’s a liberal, right?

  53. Michelle
    September-20-2007 @ 7:14 am

starr, it seems like you really just don’t get it….
It doesn’t matter whether she’s going to read this or not.
Wouldn’t you rather live in a more civilized society where people communicate respectfully?
You may not agree with her and think she’s misinformed. And so? Does calling her a nitwit make you feel better? Perhaps a logical rebuttal of one of her positions may be a preferred outlet rather than name-calling, but some people would choose the option of being unkind, I guess. I don’t think it gets you anywhere but I might be missing something. I always thought that treating people with disrespect was something that just doesn’t feel very nice.
I find it odd that you ask me if your opinion is okay with me. I don’t share your opinion, if that’s what you’re asking.
