BLAME THE DRESS OR THE MODEL?

British supermodel Kate Moss arrived at last night’s V&A Golden Age of Courture Gala at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London looking typically stylish in a creamy vintage satin gown.
But as the night came to an end, so did the dress.
Kate’s priceless gown developed a tear near the shoulder and later on the back, forcing the 34-year-old fashionista to wrap the gown into a mini.
Now that is what I call a party!

Tsk Tsk Kate, you know you can’t eat a cracker.

Kate likes to wear white. That way if she spills any cocaine on her clothes it won’t show.

I’m mostly really annoyed that she ruined a vintage dress. Why did she wear it if it didn’t fit?

^I’m mostly annoyed at the cheap quality of the dress… Ugh, I hate satin.

It looks like it’s 1930’s … so a 70 / 80 yr old dress is pretty delicate - vintage pieces need so much extra care - it’s virtually impossible not to damage them - especially when they’re long & ppl tramp on them.

do you think the designer is pissed?? i dont’ understand why she wouldn’t have run into a shop and bought a new outfit as soon as the first rip happened

Old dresses break easily, its a fact. Dont blame her for it. Could happen anyone.

It looks like Ossie Clark. And it also looks like silk satin, which obviously shatters when it’s really old. The dress was probably just too fragile for the stress of wearing it.

^^Loula I agree. I have a few vintage pieces and they are very fragile. I had this same exact thing happen to me with a jacket. I was in a restaurant in NYC reaching for the salt and…the jacket ripped in about 3 places in the back. Pretty embarrassing. It wasn’t that it was too small; the fabric is like tissue paper.

why does the dress look better ripped and tied up like that though?

What is she, about 45 now?

Why did a tear on the back and under the arm “force” her to wrap the skirt around her waist?

Apparently Courtney Love stepped on the train ripping the back as well. Btw, it’s vintage Dior.

No kidding Aysla. Why does this expensive shit result in so many wardrobe malfunctions. If you pay $20,000 it’s not too much to expect your tits won’t pop out of your outfit.

Wowww that’s really bad. Obviously the dress hasn’t been made very well. The places that it ripped shows that its the fault of the designer and the poor material that has been used. As if Kate could be too big for something…she’s a stick! Very embarassing for the designer and for Kate!

Designer clothes is more about the weave of fabrics, style and design but most of it,esp the silk ones are very fragile and need extra care.I had a rip in one of my Dries Van Noten tops..such heart pain coz its worth alot more to us that it does to these celebrities.
