The New York Times reports that AT&T, one of the biggest corporate sponsors of the FOX talent competition, may have influenced the outcome of this year’s Idol results by “providing phones for free text-messaging services and lessons in casting blocks of votes at parties organized by fans of Kris Allen….”
There appear to have been no similar efforts to provide free texting services to Lambert fans.
Fox is remaining mum over the matter, but in a statement issued yesterday (May 26), a spokesman for AT&T said, “In Arkansas, we were invited to attend the local watch parties organized by the community. A few local employees brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.”

NYT LOL, like they have any credibility anymore.
The paper is run by a bunch of left wing and gay activists.
The show is over and the contestants had move on. Leave them be!!
Please, the winners were picked WAY in advance… voting has nothing to do with it. I can’t believe people think they actually pick the winner.
SO GIVE ADAM THE BIG WIN AFTER ALL AND AS A CONSOLATION PRIZE KRIS CAN BE ON DANCING WITH
THE STARS NEXT SEASON..!!
DO US ALL A GOD DAMN FAVOR AND DO IT TONIGHT
HAVE SIMON AND THE CAST OF JUDGES AND SAY IT
WAS A ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.. AND NEXT SEASON
WE WILL NOT BE USING TELEPHONE VOTING…
I read Kris got 38 million votes from Arkansas. They got mad love for their hometown boy.
There is always some kind of scandal about the voting, and in a way I don’t think it’s ever really fair. I have a feeling that in the end the show chooses the winner anway actually. Adam really deserved to win in my opinion, and Kris thought that too. Kris is very very talented of course, but he was the safe winner.
