It was “Lights, Camera, Action” for Robert Pattinson yesterday (May 25) as he arrived on the set of the Twilight sequel New Moon in Montepulciano, Italy for the first day of filming.
The hunky actor will call Italy home for the next few weeks as he continues production, but it appears that he can never escape his fans.
Robert was recently enjoying a quiet lunch date with a pal when 700 fans and photographers surrounded him.
The New Moon heartthrob couldn’t enjoy himself and had to be carried out by bodyguards to sure make he wasn’t injured.
It seems that Rob will never get a minute’s peace until the Twilight Saga finishes up — and that won’t be until two years from now!

I don’t understand the appeal of this guy. Then again, I am over 18.

I think there is definately something about him that’s sexy…it’s his eyes and that whole scruffy look that’s kinda hot. I think the tweens would love whoever was chosen to play Edward Cullen though. I don’t think it’s exactly Robert that they love, but just the character that he plays. I think he seems like the kind of guy that would be a little overwhelmed by teenage girls, he seems pretty low key.
