Confirming wide spread rumours, a rep for Mel Gibson has confirmed that the 53-year-old actor and his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, are expecting their first child together.
Gibson’s wife Robyn filed for divorce on April 13 and has remained quiet about his relationship with Oksana and the pregnancy rumors.
According to Gibson’s own divorce response, filed on the same day as Robyn’s, he and his wife separated almost three years ago.

I think this was pretty much expected considering how religious he is and all. And don’t feel bad for his wife…she is going to take his ass (and his money) in court!

I think people are being a little too quick to judge this whole situation. He and his wife have been separated for three years. They are devout Catholics so I’m sure that they tried their best to work things out. Mel probably met this woman and has obviously fallen for her, and I’m sure Robyn knew about it as well. For all we know she may have another partner as well. Mel was waiting for the divorce to be final until he came public with his new girlfriend, which shows that he still respects his wife. Not the perfect situation and sad to see their marriage fall apart after so many years.
