The 42-year-old actress was seen out at the Marriott Hotel in Marina Del Rey, CA yesterday (May 22) rocking a daringly short hairdo.
Before her pixie cut, Halle was sporting a medium-length coiffure with honey-hued highlights. (You can check it out HERE.)
The Oscar-winner likely chopped it all off for her role in the upcoming romantic comedy, Nappily Ever After. She plays a woman who decides to go for the sharp shave after her hair starts falling out. Halle’s character must then learn to cope with people’s perceptions of her and the way in which her hair shaped who she was.
Halle had previously made a public promise that she was going to pull a Britney and shave her entire head but it appear that better senses have prevailed.

YES!!! I was waiting for her to do this! She looks amazing with short hair! Not many people look as good as she does, so she should work it! I don’t know if that’s just a bad description…but that movie sounds like complete crap. Nappily Ever After?

Back in the 90’s black women were cutting their off to get the “Halle” short hair cut. I prefer her with her hair short, since she can carry it off better than anyone.
Short hair used to be halle’s trademark. She rocks the short hair like no other.
Anything that shows off her gorgeous features suits Halle, and short hair does it. Now, to be picky… she just needs to grow it out a little bit, ala Swordfish– that was my favorite.
