While it’d be anyone’s dream come true to be asked to sit and chat on Oprah Winfrey’s show, defunct ‘View’ moderator-turned-author Rosie O’Donnell has declined the talk show host’s offer.
O invited Ro on her show to discuss her latest book ‘Celebrity Detox’, which lambastes Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Donald Trump and others.
A source tells Page Six that instead, Rosie is doing an interview with Diane Sawyer.
O’Donnell’s rep, Cindi Berger, meanwhile, says: “Rosie has always been booked with Diane. We gracefully declined Oprah’s offer. I’m sure Rosie will do Oprah’s show another.”

Oh, I wish Rosie would do Oprah instead!!! Imagine that show! Oprah would be more interesting than Diane Sawyer and she would ask better questions. But its good if Rosie booked with Diane first and stays with that, but she HAS to do Oprah after it!
I would love to see her on Oprah also but I respect the fact that she is sticking to the interview she had already scheduled. Wow, someone in Hollywood has a moral compass?
Don’t you think the Diane Sawyer thing is a big F*U to Barbara Walters? They have been rivals for years but, like the good WASPs they are, they pretend to be friends.
Ooh- i would hope she declined respectfully because i would be terrified to cross oprah!
