Zac Efron seriously has to make up his mind.
First he’s threatening to break-up with gal pal Vanessa Hudgens for bearing too much skin and now it appears that the 21-year-old actor is encouraging her to get naked on film. Why? So that she can ditch her wholesome Disney image and establish herself as a mature actress once and for all.
“Zac believes it is a good way for her to get beyond the teeny-bopper stigma,” a source close to the young lovebirds tells the the National Enquirer. “He is making the leap to A-list actor and he wants Vanessa to go along with him….He told a pal, if she has to bare more of her body, then she shouldn’t be afraid of doing that.”
Vanessa is certainly no stranger to nudity. A couple of years ago, nude images of the then teen actress leaked online and spread faster than a wildfire in the peak of summer. What’s more? Vanessa recently admitted that she would be open the idea of taking it all off for the camera — but only if nakedness is crucial to the role.

First off Zac Effron is NOT an A list actor and will most likely never be. Hard to live down HSM in your teens, when your contemporories, at that time, were doing things like What’s Eating Gilbert Grape or Basketball Diaries. Secondly, who would want to see this pig nosed, talenless, skank naked anyways?

I think Zac Efron could make it in more serious roles, but I don’t know about Vanessa. I guess she’s never really had a chance to show her acting skills, but I don’t think she has that something special that Zac seems to have. I think getting naked would be a bad move for her straight away.
Nudity has enhanced careers for some serious actresses like Kate winslet. But Vanessa is no Kate and will never be anywhere near her league. If Vanessa got naked for a movie, it’d just reinforce the teenaged skank/slut image that she’s already established for herself with the internet pics.
