Don’t listen to certain bloggers who report that Britney Spears’ new single, ‘Gimme More’, “has already started to decline at radio.”
Contrary to erroneous reports, the embattled singer’s comeback single is racing up the charts at top 40 radio.
The cut posted the most increased plays on R&R’s CHR/Top 40 chart for a second straight week (up 976 spins) and climbs 25-20 on the tally, marking Spears’ first top 20 appearance since “Every Time” in summer 2004.Spears last graced the survey with “My Prerogative” in the fall of 2004. Her prior best entrance was the No. 24 launch of “Me Against the Music” in Oct. 2003. “Gimme” is Spears’ 16th charting title this decade, tying her with fellow former Mouseketeer Christina Aguilera for most by a female in that span.
In a day where both her manager and lawyer dropped her as a client, it should be comforting to know that radio still loves her.

That song is horrible, but I’m not suprised that the radio plays it, they always play horrible songs that are paid by the record company to play constantly on the radio (like Avril, Mariah, Fergie).

At least something is going right for her! Britney’s music has always been good. She has never had one of those albums that everyone has just forgotten about and every single she has released has been a hit. While her personal life has always been questionable her music has been a constant and I don’t doubt that her new album will be any different. Whether you like Britney or not there is no doubting that Gimme is a good dance song and very catchy. She’s done well.
^^Her music(if u can call that music) is never her own and its all basically the same croacking voice that she lends to someone’s lyrics and composition.
