The only thing more blinding than Paris Hilton’s glittery gold party dress were the dozens of flashing cameras that greeted her as the celebutante and her tag-along boyfriend Doug Reinhardt arrived at the VIP Room in Cannes last night (May 20).
Planning to dance the night away, the party princess was in great spirits considering that her attorneys back at home have failed to get a lawsuit against her thrown out for failing to promote that 2006 tour de force Pledge This!
A court-appointed rep for the now-defunct Miami entertainment company claim Paris’ failure to publicize the movie’s DVD release cost investors $8.3 million. Paris says she went above and beyond the call of duty.
We’ll find out who’s telling the truth when a trial begins on June 8.

That movie was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I fast fowarded through most of it trying to get to the good part…the credits. I don’t really remember Paris doing any promotion for it actually, I don’t think it would have saved the movie at all though.
