Causing a fan hysteria that only the most famous celebrity couple in the world can, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attended the Inglorious Basterds premiere at the Grand Theatre Lumiere during the 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival today (May 20).
While Brad looked typically debonaire in a Tom Ford tux, his leading lady was a vision in chiffon, donning a one-sleeved Versace Fall 2008 gown.
The film follows the efforts of a team of Jewish-American soldiers, nicknamed ‘The Basterds’, to venture behind enemy lines to capture, maim and kill as many Nazis as possible. Director Quentin Tarantino says it’s a tribute to the “men on a mission” movies popularised in the 60s and ’70s.
Brad plays Basterd leader Aldo Raine in the film. During a press conference earlier in the day, the 45-year-old actor said that as soon as he heard that Tarantino was doing a war movie, he was sold. Elaborating with a grin on his face, he claimed, “Quentin came to visit sometime in the summer with a script, we talked about it, and when I woke up the next morning there were five empty bottles of wine - and it seems I’d agreed to work on the movie.”

Angelina’s dress is pure elegance and her makeup really suits the whole look she is going for. She is looking very skinny though! She has always been more attractive with a little more meat on her bones in my opinion.
