“I strongly disagree with her views. I think she’s dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her.”

– Legendary crooner Barry Manilow in a statement today explaining that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the reason why he has pulled out of his scheduled appearance on ‘The View’ tomorrow

Probably too late to hope Barry will ever grow a pair?

  2. hiedi Says:

Do you have to agree with everyone’s political views to be in the same room as them?! I don’t.

  3. CaliGirlinGA Says:

That is the very reason people go on that show…to give their point of VIEW. Right?

  4. Lola Lola Says:

Wow. Manilow lays down the law! Awesome! She IS a jackass and I’m glad he’s drawing attention to that.

  5. carmen Says:

all that palstic surgery and he is still ugly and gross looking, thats why these people should leave mother nature alone.

  6. oh yea Says:

She is a right wing nut, that’s true. But Barry is an over the hill closeted queen who is to irrelivant it ain’t even funny!

  7. Michelle Says:

Way to be close minded Barry.

  8. boobookitty Says:

way to go Barry…you are a simple minded, little troll. everyone has a right to speak their mind!

  9. jenjifer Says:

Sheeesh Arasto, Next time slap a “NSFW” over that photo. That’s some scary shit.

  10. Anonymous Says:

Nice. Way to be a closeminded jackass.

  11. Irish Gal Says:

Wow, and to think I stayed up listening to the “Can’t smile without you” album and eating Vivarin a hundred years ago…. Wasted time.

  12. starr Says:

I agree that she is a twit, but damn….he looks scary..

  13. Supersonic Says:

Well I’m glad old Baz is making a stand for something and I do agree with him but he still should do the show, and diss her then rather than just avoiding her and appearing like he doesn’t respect others opinions no matter how WRONG they are.

  14. Univgurl Says:

I don’t think he’s afraid to be around her. Please. I would have gone on the show just to call her a wonky-eyed, ignorant bitch in her face.

  15. parissucksliterally Says:

    I love Barry Manilow.
I agree, the plastic surgery is too much.

  16. blake Says:

I wish he would go on there and give her a verbal smackdown and make her cry (she always cries when things get too heated LOL). I miss the days when Rosie would let her have it lol.

  17. soshootme Says:

you don’t go on Fox if your views don’t jibe with their irrational, biased rantings. Why do that to yourself? His mistake was stating the reason. Now all those right-wing nuts will rally around their little Christian princess because she is once again getting beaten up by liberals. Rosie should have taken her out when she had the chance.

  18. saywhut Says:

    LMAO, jenjifer

  19. Barks Says:

Elizabeth has the right to say what she wants and he has a right to disagree. Will it hurt The View if he doesn’t show up? No. Will whatever he’s promoting get across to The View viewers now? No. The only one he’s hurting is himself.

Anyone used to watch Will & Grace? Remember Barry’s guest appearance when Will confimed he was a Fan-ilow? That episode never fails to crack me up.

  20. Owl Says:

Oh brother. It’s not like Elisabeth just joined “The View” - and that is the whole point. Everyone has different opinions and perspectives.

    Barry is a chicken.

  21. MikeC... Says:

Man !!! that facial skin is pulled tight !!!!

  22. Star Says:

Seriously this guy is a fruitcake. Look at him. I would take Elisabeth’s advice over his probably 99.9% of the time. Next.

  23. giftbox Says:

Great, this is orgasm material for the right-wing media who will snicker and make crude, grade-school jokes about Barry’s sexuality before huffing and puffing about liberals bashing conservatives. There are about 5 levels of fucked-up in Barry’s simpering-diva excuse for not going on the show. But on to the important matters: Has he sued whoever actually made him FUGLIER than he was before?

  24. Stephi Says:

Well if he can’t handle listening to other people’s opinions than he shouldn’t be on the show. That is why the show is called ‘The View’. If everyone on the show was anti-Bush, there would never be a well-rounded opinion on political topics. While I don’t agree with everything that Elisabeth says I think her opinions are valuable to the show and I like hearing a younger person’s opinion on things. I think another younger woman should have been brought onto the show rather than Sherri.

  25. Aysla Says:

I see nothing wrong with his actions. It’s similar with people who boycott Tom Cruise’s movies– they don’t agree with his religious views, so they refuse to add to his ticket sales. He’s taking a stand for what he believes in. I don’t like Elizabeth. The few times I’ve caught The View, she showed herself to be very simple-minded. They should have a more intelligent conservative repub on the show, and ditch her. She’s too much of an airhead, she just spews out what’s fed to her without thinking about it.

  26. hotbitch Says:

Isn’t it his preogative if he doesn’t want to go there? I can’t blame him. Elizabeth’s an idiot. I think his comments are funny.
