It was another night and another red carpet event for scenesters Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt.
After spending much of the day poolside, the loved up pair joined a flock of celebs at the DSquared2 grand opening party yesterday (May 19) during the 62nd International Film Festival in Cannes.
Paris and her beau have been anywhere and everywhere during the two-week star-studded festival but it certainly hasn’t come without trying. It appears the celebutante is struggling to stir up some cash and publicity during her stay.
Per the New York Post:
She hit Cannes last weekend and had reps go around asking event coordinators to pony up $100,000 for her to appear. “No one bit. They aren’t about to pay her. It’s not 2002,” scoffed one event producer. “We think she got some money from the club VIP, but everyone else is running for the hills.” Hilton then decided to go for free and showed up at the Vitamin Water event at Nikki Beach and the Hollywood Domino party with her latest accessory, Doug Reinhardt.
Paris? Party for free? Perhaps the economy is in worse shape than we ever thought!

What balls she has to be asking for a 100K in the first place. She is no longer a commodity and never was imo!
hahahaha! Serves that Bitch right! Send her packing!
gorgeous dress, but yes, I am thrilled she isn’t getting the $$$ she used to. she is such a fucking loser, and she is so OVER.
He looks like Ryan Reynolds and I hate that. Shudder to picture Ryan bumping uglies with Paris.
I like Paris, but she’s old news.
Only Paris could be the reason I fucking HATE headbands now.
Dear FadedYouthBlog, Just wanted you to know that if you choose never to run a photo of Paris Hilton again, I (as a regular reader) am totally ok with that. Really. She can just disappear and I’ll come back just as often–maybe more! Thanks for listening…
Paris just isn’t that relevant anymore. The promoters know that they don’t have to pay her because she is so in love with attention that she will show up anyway. While I applaud Paris for sticking around for so long, she is becoming a bit of a one trick pony. She needs to grow up and show another side of herself other than the party girl who shows up to the opening of an envelope.
