WORLD PREMIERE: GWEN STEFANI’S ‘NOW THAT YOU GOT IT’

Check out the official Saline Project-directed video for Gwen Stefani’s ‘Now That You Got It.’

The video opens with sequences of Gwen and reggae artist Damian Marley performing in an array of Jamaicaesque scenes. Just for good measure, Mrs. Rossdale’s Harajuku Girls kick in for a cool motorcycle riding scene.

The song is catchy, but the video is too silly for me. I don’t understand why there aren’t more interesting music videos. I mean, is there some sort of rule that you can’t be unique when making your videos?
    Gwen’s awesome, though

I am getting tired of her. She just churns out the same tired shit over and over to milk as much $$ she can until her career is over. I don’t see her being around in 10 years.

Reminds me of a Black Eyed Peas or K-os video for some reason.

This looks just like the No Doubt video for Underneath It All, to me. Well, the scenes on bikes, anyway.

Gwen can be a lot more innovative than this. Her latest album has been VERY generic. She’s got some good eclectic pop tunes in her but she needs to get back to No Doubt. That band makes some amazing ska-pop.
Also, can you say culture vulture?! GEEZ

it’s kinda cute, kinda silly. i agree she looks like her no doubt days here.
she’s at the point where she can put out stuff that’s ‘ehhhhh’ and people will still buy it. she’s already secured herself a status in music after doing this for 20+ years. go back to no doubt already! :)

I prefer Gwen’s generic music to ska anytime. I don’t like No Doubt at all, but love Gwen’s solo stuff. I may be the only one who feels this way though!
