The celebrity fashion show that is otherwise known as the Cannes Film Festival has officially begun.
Among the first to sashay down the runway-come-red carpet today (May 13) were actresses Elizabeth Banks and Aishwarya Rai.
Both ladies — who just happen to represent L’Oréal, the annual event’s sponsor — dazzled in Armani Prive as they attended the Up premiere at the Palais des Festivals.
Expect even more glamour in the days to come as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are expected to attend the Quentin Tarantino-helmed Inglourious Basterds premiere. Mariah Carey will be there to promote Precious and a party wouldn’t be a party without perrenial scene queen Paris Hilton.

Aishwarya looks gorgeous!! She really is a very beautiful girl. That dress looks amazing on her. I think Elizabeth looks really good as well, but would definately have looked better if she wasn’t standing next to someone like Aishwarya!
